Since the outbreak of the novel coronavirus pneumonia, protective supplies have been the most scarce commodities. Provincial and municipal leaders have requested Hunan Yourfield Special Protective Equipment Co., Ltd.—the first enterprise in the province to obtain the qualification for producing disposable medical protective suits—to increase production and promptly provide safe and reliable disposable medical protective suits for the entire province and even the whole country. With the active support and guidance of the Xiangtan High-tech Industrial Development Zone Management Committee, Hunan Yourfield has built a production line capable of producing 1,500 sets of sterile medical protective suits per day in just two days.
On the evening of February 3, Li Wenhui, head of Yourfield in Hunan, submitted a request to the High-tech Zone Industrial Management Committee for expanding the factory and building a new sterile production workshop for protective suits. That same evening, the committee sprang into action, with the District Science and Technology Innovation Bureau assisting in site selection. Hunan Shiban Communication Technology Co., Ltd., an enterprise in the park, proactively assumed social responsibility by agreeing to lease nearly 1,000 square meters of sterile workshop space to Yourfield and promptly vacating the premises, while also pledging to waive rent during the epidemic prevention period.
Following the confirmation of the site, leading officials from the High-tech Zone Industrial Management Committee personally led on-site command and coordination of the construction of the new production line. Relevant departments were assigned specific tasks and provided round-the-clock support to ensure all preliminary preparations were in place for the line’s official commissioning. The bus company under Xiangtan Jiaofa Group and the District Urban and Rural Construction Administration worked together to address transportation and accommodation needs for employees of both the old and new plants.
With united efforts to fight the epidemic, Yourfield in Hunan is working hard. On the evening of February 5, the newly purchased 70 production servo machines were installed and commissioned. At 8:00 a.m. on February 6, the workshop officially began production, successfully achieving the goal of producing 1,500 sets of sterile medical protective suits per day. In response to the epidemic, medical workers have made great sacrifices.
