Inspect the flame-resistant protective suit for any surface defects, tears, or seam flaws. The design of the flame-resistant workwear comprises three types of close-fitting garments—collar, cuffs, and hem—to prevent thermal contact or flying sparks from causing injury to the body. Open pockets must be equipped with flaps to prevent the accumulation of molten metal spatter or sparks. Ventilation openings intended for heat dissipation should be located in the armpits, on the back, and on the inner thighs to prevent foreign objects from entering.
