To implement the CPC Xiangtan Municipal Committee’s initiative of “Going to the Grassroots with Hearts Connected and Solving Difficulties Face to Face,” on the afternoon of May 11, Liu Yang, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Xiangtan Municipal Committee and Head of the United Front Work Department, led a delegation to Yourfield Grou to carry out field visits under the same initiative. The delegation conducted research on the innovation and entrepreneurship efforts of enterprises in Xiangtan’s overseas Chinese community, gained first-hand insights into the situation, listened to the voices of overseas Chinese, understood their conditions, addressed their difficulties, and boosted their confidence. Peng Ruilin, Deputy Secretary-General of the CPC Xiangtan Municipal Committee, also attended the research session. Key officials from the Organization Department of the CPC Xiangtan Municipal Committee (also the Municipal Talent Office), the Xiangtan Federation of Overseas Chinese, the Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, the Municipal Culture, Radio, Television, Press and Tourism Bureau, the Municipal Commerce Bureau, and the Xiangtan High-tech Industrial Development Zone also took part in the meeting.
On that day, Liu Yang and his delegation conducted on-site research at Yourfield Grou’s safety experience hall, production workshop, and office premises to gain an understanding of the company’s actual development.
At the symposium on innovation and entrepreneurship among the overseas Chinese community in Xiangtan City, Li Wenhui, President of Yourfield Grou, spoke as a representative of enterprises. He began by introducing the basic situation of Yourfield Grou and elaborating on the company’s development plan to build four centers and one platform around its “two verticals and two horizontals” business segments: the China Protective Equipment R&D and Production Center, a well-known safety production and emergency rescue training center in the Central China region, the Hunan Provincial Public Health and Public Safety Emergency Equipment and Supplies Reserve Center, a regional laundry, disinfection, and leasing center, and a digital service platform for the emergency and protective equipment supply chain. He also expressed gratitude to the Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau and the High-tech Industrial Development Zone for promptly resolving issues related to personnel recruitment and site utilities when Yourfield encountered difficulties. In addition, he put forward the company’s requests regarding the urgent need to attract high-end professional talent and to collaborate with Hunan University of Technology to establish the Yourfield Packaging New Materials Research Institute. Subsequently, representatives of Xiangtan’s overseas Chinese enterprises freely shared their views on how to better promote the development of enterprises within the overseas Chinese community.

Liu Yang said he was deeply moved by the questions raised by enterprises in the overseas Chinese community. He noted that Xiangtan is home to more than 30,000 overseas Chinese and over 30,000 family members of returned overseas Chinese, which represents a highly valuable resource. He urged relevant departments to actively communicate with these enterprises and promote the municipal government’s “Twelve Industrial Chains” and “Twelve Golden Policies for Attracting Investment,” so as to encourage overseas Chinese and their enterprises to play an active role in advancing Xiangtan’s high-quality development. Liu Yang emphasized that the Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Government attach great importance to the development of the overseas Chinese community in Xiangtan and will strengthen policies for attracting high-end talent and supporting small and micro businesses. He also expressed the hope that members of the overseas Chinese community will remain firmly committed to the Party and work together to build a shared vision; focus on innovation and entrepreneurship to demonstrate their sense of responsibility; and praised Yourfield as the only national advanced collective in the fight against the epidemic among overseas Chinese enterprises, highlighting its dedication and sense of responsibility. Furthermore, he called on overseas Chinese and their enterprises to serve as bridges and links to expand Xiangtan’s network of friends, and urged the Xiangtan Federation of Overseas Chinese Associations to put service first and be a trusted partner for overseas Chinese enterprises.
Finally, Liu Yang instructed all departments to systematically review the issues raised at this symposium and ensure that each one is addressed and implemented.
